After a very successful trip to Lincraft today, I've settled on the fabrics for my ballgown. I've also picked out a few possible trims and a few possible patterns. I would really love some feedback about my choices to help me make my final decisions! I was all set to apologise for not updating as regularly as I would like, but then I realised that I'm about to post about pretty much the only costume I've done this year (I've put together a few things, but they've been very quick... I FINALLY solved the Victorian overskirt problem! I decided to lay the piece of fabric I had out flat and work with it that way (I'm just using the piece I originally used for the overskirt). I decided to experiment with pleats, and got something that looked pretty good. So I played some more and I think I've worked it out :D ( Read more... )

As in, what colour should I go with for my Victorian Bustle dress? I just can not decide between the two! I wore creamy gloves with it last time which looked great, but I'm not sure how well a creamy hat will go. But then I just think black is too dark ( Read more... )

Yup, I'm seriously getting sick of working on it. Which really sucks because I do love my bustle dress! But I'm getting jack of the colours and the patterns! With all the time I'm spending trying to fix it up I could have a new one *sigh* But that's not the point...

So my Bustle dress overskirt is bugging me. I've been working on it all day, playing around with different looks but I still can't get it to look just right.
